Consulate General of Belgium in Sydney

The aims of the Club

  • Have fun! - First of all, it must be a social club, one to have fun with Belgians and friends of the Belgians. All Belgians are welcome, regardless of their cultural or linguistic origin. Therefore, it has been decided that the official language of the Club will be English and that discussions regarding Belgian politics, and particularly linguistic politics, shall not be permitted during the meetings.
  • Provide an Information Centre - The Centre can assist the members with inquiries regarding administrative matters such as new passports, identity cards, dual citizenship, pension, elections, etc. Those inquiries will be redirected to the competent Belgian authorities as required.
  • Provide a Business Network - Business people should meet from time to time to exchange ideas and references, and to propose business opportunities. The Club would provide a Belgian Business Network.
  • Exchanges with other Belgian Clubs - Communication with Belgian Clubs in Australia and abroad.
  • Liaise with Officials and Organizations - Communication with our Embassy, Consulate, Commercial Attaché, and also with useful Belgian organisations.
  • The ultimate aim of this club is to help each other under all circumstances.

Other objectives may arise in time.
